In 1999 Joe
Griffin and I started recording together in his studio for fun, with no real plans.
Twelve years later, there are three albums with a fourth album and plans for
live shows in the works.
DWLB works from a
strong collective unconscious and a high sense of mystery. Heavily abstract and mostly instrumental, with the odd disembodied
voice floating in and out. Very often we find out what the music is
about after itŐs finished. We have been very lucky in that each of our albums
has had a distinct sound but doesnŐt feel like a band casting about for the
next thing.
